| ______SPRINGVILLE, Utah - March 22, 2005 - Kitco Aerospace announced a 2.3 million dollar contract awarded by Tinker Air Force Base. The two year contract supplies Shroud Modification Kits for the F101-GE-102 turbofan engine on the B-1B Aircraft. The delivery will be approximately 25 per month. | ![]() |

| About the B-1B Bomber | |
| _____The B-1B Lancer is a long-range strategic bomber in service with the USAF. Together with the B-52 Stratofortress, it is the backbone of the United State's Long-range bomber force. There are currently 67 B1Bs in service. Four GENERAL ELECTRIC F101-GE-102 Turbofan engines with afterburner, each producing 30,000 pounds (133 kN) of thrust, power the B-1B. | |
| _____The B-1B was first introduced in combat to support actions against Iraq during Operation Desert Fox in December 1998. The B-1s have also been used in Operation Allied Force (to patrol the no-fly zones in Iraq, Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, and operation Iraqi Freedom). | |
